Additionally, Toyota has indicated its intention to introduce an all-electric HiLux targeting fleet customers, following a current-generation EV prototype that was tested in October.

The next HiLux will be based on a variation of the TNGA-F ladder-frame platform architecture, shared with the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series, the new Prado, Tacoma, Tundra, and Lexus GX.
